Outreach

Our ministry of caring and sharing with our neighbors

We believe that God is the source of all grace, goodness, and abundance in our lives. Giving to those in need is our way of giving back to God in gratitude. St. Francis is committed to caring and sharing with those in need, especially with our neighbors in the Dunellen area. We organize events such as blood drives; give monetary support; lend helping hands; and collect & distribute needed material goods such as food and diapers.

Some of the projects and organizations that receive our support include:

·      Nonperishable food items to the Dunellen Library and to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Food Pantry, Edison

·      Pet food to Plainfield Area Humane Society, Plainfield

·      Women's & children's personal care items to Fresh start program of the Summit Health  Foundation

·      Winter coats & jackets to Beginning World Changers, Dunellen

·      Book donations & snacks to Dunellen Library

·      Thanksgiving meals, donations, & Christmas gifts to local families in need

·      Ministry to two AA groups using our hall

·      Monetary donations to Dunellen Fire & Rescue, Dunellen PBA, Women Aware, FISH, Inc., SHIP, Somerville,

NJ Institute for Social Justice, ECS-NJ, & Trinity Cathedral

·      In-person assistance at monthly food pantry at Presbyterian Church, Dunellen

·      Organize blood drives at St. Francis and at RWJ Hospital, Somerville

We are always open to new opportunities to support!
